Larry Schultz, the owner of the Scultz Fur Farm, is conducting a thriving business in North Dakota. It is the only commercial fur farm in the state, and has specialized in raising and selling bobcats for their fur. Schultz currenty has over 50 animals at his farm. They are crammed in small, wired cages and live an ugly life. But since there are no specific regulations for animals on fur farms in the United States, no one will ever bother to check on the welfare of the animals.
Due to the intense oil drillings in North Dakota, Schultz wants to move his farm in Montana. The state of Montana sees fur farming as a “form of agriculture” and Scultz’s permit is poised to be approved, with the view of boosting the state’s economy.
Please sign the petition and urge the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks committee not to approve Schultz’s request. Act now to save these bobcats. They don’t deserve to live like this. Thank you for your support!
